Marine double walled pipes

A double-walled pipe is a secondary contained piping system. It is a pipe within a pipe, or encased in an outer covering, with an annulus (interstitial space) between the two diameters. The inner pipe is the primary or carrier pipe and the outer pipe is called the secondary or containment pipe. The great majority of double-walled piping applications involve wastewater, groundwater, and process safety.

The specifications of our Double Wall Pipe

A. General

Outer casing butt welded with flanges, to form high-precision bending, abrasion resistant and long service life and can be used in Dredger.

B. Construction

The construction is to be built according to the drawing with rules of good workmanship.

Outer casing lobster tail shape, CAF molding, assemble on the platform to ensure the dimensions.

High accuracy, in particular to ensure the angle, chord length, concentricity, and flanges.

Inner liner, casting with high demand. They are made of a wear resistant cast iron with

high hardness. The liners have been machined to tolerance of the liner drawing at both ends.

Procedure:

Outer casing produce-weld flange- flange surface machining- inspection (NDT+ dimension)-liner casting- assemble liner and outer casing- inspection- casting the cement-delivery

C. Materials

All fabricated steelwork used in the construction of the bend will be to manufacturing standard of UniSite or other classification society.

All materials proposed will be selected to comply with the latest Health and Safety Rules.

D. Welding

All welding will be performed in accordance with drawing and order and UniSite experience and all welding will be continuous and full penetration.
