Suction dredge steel pump design

Double-walled dredge pumps are specially designed for high pressures, starting typically from 16 up to 30 bars. The double-walled pump design is based on the concept of pressure compensation between the outer-,  and inner-pump casing. All types of configurations are possible such as 3,4 and 5 vane impellers, and casted or welded outer-casings.

A.    General

High accuracy construction can be used for pumping or dredging the sand, gravels, oil or mix matters with water, which has very good performance for dredging for sands or gravels. It's mainly attached to amphibious excavator, swamp excavator, dredging excavators, or Cutter Suction Dredger, bucket dredgers etc.

B. Construction and procedure

The construction is to be built according to the drawing with rules of good workmanship.

C. Materials

All fabricated steelwork used in the construction of the pump will be to manufacturing standard of normal or classification society.

All materials proposed will be selected to comply with the latest Health and Safety Rules.

Paint systems for hull protection will be of the highest quality (Hempel, Inter, Sigma, Jotun)
