Among the marine fenders attached to various places as mentioned above, fenders disposed onto quay walls of canal, narrow river, vessel repairing dock and the like are mainly used as a protection member for preventing direct contact of the vessel with the quay wall without main purpose of absorbing energy in the berthing of the vessel.
