Its function :(1) direct water to impeller; (2) collect water from the impeller and convert most of the water kinetic energy into pressure energy; (3) integrate all the fixed parts together.

The pump shell of a mud pump is a volute that contains and transports liquid. It consists of a Pump Cover and a volute body.

Pump shell

The pump shell is a fixed part. The pump cover is the suction chamber of the pump. Its function is to guide the water in the Suction Pipe to the impeller with the minimum loss. According to the structure suction chamber can be divided into straight conical suction chamber, circular suction chamber and semi-spiral suction chamber.The cochleate body is composed of the volute chamber and the diffusion cone. The main function of the volute is to collect the water flow from the impeller and to keep the flow rate constant in the cochlear chamber with the help of the continuous increase of the cross section to reduce the loss of water head.After the water is discharged from the volute, the pressure tube of the diffusible cone flow. The diffusion cone is used to reduce the velocity of water flow and convert some kinetic energy of the water flow into pressure energy.

A.    General

High accuracy construction can be used for pumping or dredging the sand, gravels, oil or mix matters with water, which has very good performance for dredging for sands or gravels. It's mainly attached to amphibious excavator, swamp excavator, dredging excavators, or Cutter Suction Dredger, bucket dredgers etc.
